COMETSA Professional Coaching Programme is a component of our Human Capital Portfolio of Interventions in the COMETSA Business Model. Our offering is done at the following levels:

Coaching is one of the youngest but fastest growing professions and practices in the human capital development sector. It is one of the human capital development interventions whose consumption is dictated to by the clients (coachee’s) and/or client companies. Their experience with a particular coach or coaching enterprise providing coaches is what determines their choice of such coach and/or coaching enterprise to partner with them in their talent development journey. Coaching is not yet easily accessible to the general staff in employing organizations and to the public. Yet it is one of the most empowering human capital development interventions. The coach and client (coachee) are partners in the client’s interest. The coaching relationship is the relationship of the equals and based on common objectives. We aim to contribute to the growth of this young profession. We are the members of the coaching ecosystem, have a duty and responsibility to contribute positively to its growth. It is our desire to educate the clients (coachee’s) and buyers of coaching (client organizations) on what coaching is and what it is not. There are many stakeholders in the global coaching ecosystem. For the integrity of the profession we require qualified, accredited, credentialed, and experienced coaches to service the industry. Continuous Professional Development and participation in ongoing Supervision is critical to the future of coaching. We are positioning coaching as one of the strategic talent development interventions at all the levels of employment, with focus on specialized fields, management, leadership, executives, and board level in organizations. Specialized fields would include the accelerated development of the previously underrepresented categories of our population like women, blacks, and people with disabilities.

The objective of our Professional Coaching is to contribute to the growth of coaching, development, and influence transformation and change management among the staff, management, leadership, executives, and members of the board of directors inside the employing organizations (from both public and private sectors). Our overall goals, among others, are:

  • Grow the role of coaching in management and leadership development
  • Position coaching as a strategic component of Human Capital Development 
  • Improve the understanding of coaching, clarify what it is and what it is not
  • Promote coaching as a profession and applied methodology in management and leadership
  • Reinforce the partnership between coaches and executives in organizations 
  • Recognize and celebrate successes enabled by coaching interventions and programmes.
  • Grow the number of coaches in the coaching ecosystem to address the shortage of qualified, accredited, credentialed, and experienced coaches.
  • Grow the funding and sponsorship prospects of internal and external coaching programmes in public and private sectors
  • Make coaching accessible to the public as an integral part of all the general education and development programmes in the society.

Individual Coaching Level: - The individuals are free to signup for coaching. They either pay for their own coaching programmes or they may be sponsored. They are in charge of their own coaching goals and objectives.

Group Coaching Level: - This is a group of people that attend a coaching programme at a go. The reasons for group coaching is that they are involved in the same coaching themes. They do not necessarily have the same coaching goals and objectives. The individuals in the group have diverse coaching journeys, goals and objectives. They are therefore not a team, although they could end up being a team as a result of the coaching intervention.

Team Coaching Level: - here the coachees are a uniform group with common goals and objectives. The individual interests are put aside, aligned or integrated into one team interests.  The common teams we coach are Executive Committees, Departments Staff, Management and Leadership Teams, Board of Directors, Sport Clubs, etc. The focus of our coaching intervention is on the team development, not the individual members, even though individual development areas will be identified and attended to aside from the team process.
