Diversity Management & Inclusion Network (DMIN)
Diversity Management & Inclusion Network (DMIN): A company’s economic success relies on its encouragement of employee competencies and diversity. Diversity Management seeks to strategically use the various talents of each employee, which are based on diverse cultural and social backgrounds, to increase entrepreneurial and economic success. Implementing a diversity management program successfully is not an overnight task. Often, the process of fostering a more accepting work environment takes time and dedication. But with patience, time, and structured efforts to educate employees, a diversity management policy and program will eventually make a huge difference in the communication among employees and the general productivity of the department. Employees of organizations are becoming increasingly heterogeneous. With the passing of days, diversity is going to be an important issue for the HR manager for the following reasons; a large number of women are joining the work-force; work-force mobility is increasing; young workers in the work-force are increasing; ethnic minorities' proportion constantly in the total work-force is increasing; international careers and expatriates are becoming common; and necessity of international experience is felt for career progression to many top-level managerial positions.
